The White Company: Wild Mint Candle

There is nothing better than a good candle, well in my opinion anyway. Recently i found out not everyone is a candle lover and i find that the most bizarre concept. Now not to sound like the weird candle girl from Scream Queens but a candle really helps to create a very welcoming tone to any house. Whenever i go to someones house and they have a candle burning it always feels homely and when i move out it is something that i want to have in every room.

During the summer it is rare for me to burn a candle as the weather doesn't warrant the comfort given from a candle and also i don't like be suffocated by scent when i am more than likely already struggling with the heat. However as we move quickly into Autumn, and very soon Winter, the candles are back out and my current favourite is from The White Company.

The scent is Wild Mint, Peppermint & White Tea and it is a very fresh, light scent. I've got to say i have had very limited experience with The White Company however i have had this candle before in a minature travel size as part of a set for my birthday. I had not stopped talking about this scent to my friend and she very kindly got me a set with a mini candle, diffuser and room spray. Within the second day of opening it, i dropped the room spray and it smashed, my room smelt amazing for weeks but the glass also created a very real hazard in my room. The diffuser i have yet to open as i've had a Jo Malone London one open since this time last year. The candle went very quickly, not because it is of poor wax quality but purely because i loved it so i decided to treat myself to the largest size candle they did in this scent.

At the time it was £60 which is a lot for a candle however this one is a bigun and it will last me a long time. I bought it a few months ago but they have recently stopped selling this size candle but they still have their standard size which is £28. This size would be perfect by a fire place or as a centre piece on a table, the packaging it is very simple and elegant looking.

So on to the actual scent, i'm not very good at describing scent but this is the freshest scent i've ever smelt with out being too bitter or too sweet. I'm not a massive fan of sugary sweet scents but i do love a floral. This however does not smell floral at all and it is almost citrusy in terms of freshness without smelling like a toilet cleaner. It is very light and cleansing which i love for warmer days when the sun is shining but there is still bit of a chill in the air. This honestly has to be one of my favourite scent ever, especially for the home.

If you haven't smelt this i highly recommend having a smell and seeing what you think. I first heard about this candle in a video by Zoella so if there are any candles you recommend for the colder months let me know.
