Good luck fitting this dazzling diamond on an engagement ring! This massive diamond, among the largest ever discovered, was recently unearthed in Angola. Weighing 404.2 carats and measuring about 2.7 inches long, it is about the size of a credit card. But not many credit cards have limits that would allow the purchase of this big beauty! It is estimated that the diamond is worth $20 million!

The diamond was mined from the Lulo diamond field in the African country of Angola by the Perth Australia based Lucapa Diamond Company. The diamond has been catagorized as a Type IIa stone - meaning it's virtually flawless. It's also D-colored, or colorless, the rarest color grade for a white diamond.
Angola is the world's fourth biggest country for diamond production and the 404.2 carat diamond is now the largest to come out of the country.
How does the diamond measure up historically?
- The world's record is held by the Cullinan - a 3.106 carat diamond discovered in South Africa in 1905.
- The Cullinan was nearly triple the size of the second largest diamond on record, which weighed 1,111 carats and was discovered in November 2014.
- The discovery of the 404.2 carat diamond announced on Monday would make it the 27th largest diamond ever discovered.
