Cosmetics Haul | January 2014

Hi friends! It's already February, isn't that crazy? It felt like yesterday was just the New Year! Just wanted to start off by saying Happy Belated Chinese New Year to all of you. I hope you have a safe and prosperous year filled with love, happiness and new opportunities! Now for the fun part, first haul of the year!

I made an iHerb order on the 17th and received it on the 28th (longer than I expected but it's okay!) I picked up only four items that I've had my eye on and I thought, why not? I picked up the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge,  ELF Stipple Brush, ELF Blush in Candid Coral and Tickled Pink. Since it's the start of February, I've actually used some of these products already so I'll just give you guys a quick insight to how I'm liking them!
Real Techniques Miracle Sponge | $5.99
I wanted to pick this up and compare it to the infamous Beauty Blender and see if this could be a cheaper alternative to the Beauty Blender. I've started using this sponge not too long ago and can tell you that I'm absolutely loving it already. It blends in liquid foundation beautifully and the shape of the sponge works really well with pressing the foundation into the skin, making the skin look even, clean and luminous.
Maybelline Total Clean Makeup Remover | $2.57 (from memory, on sale)
I purchased another makeup remover from Maybelline really because it was on sale at Big W and for a price like that, you can't go wrong. I really enjoy using this oil-based makeup remover as it takes of every bit of makeup on my face, especially waterproof mascara. I definitely think this product is an absolute STEAL if you guys are looking for an affordable makeup remover.
E.L.F Blushes in 'Candid Coral' and 'Tickled Pink' | $3.00 each
My first ELF products to be added into my collection, does that make me crazy? iHerb just recently started carrying the Studio blushes from ELF and I knew I wanted to pick up some after reading reviews and swatches of them. I'll hopefully have a swatch/review post on these two blushes soon to let you know my thoughts on them!
E.L.F Stipple Brush | $3.00
I actually don't own a stipple brush (crazy right?) and I've always eyed the Stipple Brush from Real Techniques but just never really needed a reason to purchase one so as I was shopping on iHerb, I decided to grab the ELF stipple brush instead after reading some reviews from other users of this brush. It's supposedly comparable to the Real Techniques one so I'll see how it goes!
Stila 'Sweet Treats' Bronzer | $22.00
This was an absolute impulse buy at the Mecca counter but after swatching it, I knew I had to buy it because the colours mixed together created a beautiful bronze, glowy effect and just perfect for the summer time.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner | $18.95
I didn't know Mecca stocked Eyeko until last week! I've heard Jen (frmheadtotoe) rave about this eyeliner and how it's long lasting and dries quickly, making girls with monolids have an easier time applying this as it sets quickly and doesn't smudge. I've been meaning to buy this through Beauty Bay but just never had the time so I'm happy that Mecca carries Eyeko in stores now!
Face Of Australia Lasting Looks Lip Creme in 'Love Berry' and 'Many Moons' | $10.95
I first noticed this Lip Creme when browsing the beauty department in Big W with my bestie, Nhi from Miss Blushaholic early last week. I haven't seen any reviews or even seen this product on shelves until this day and after swatching them on my hand, I fell head over heels for the shade selection, pigmentation and consistency of these lip cremes. Review coming soon!

That is basically my beauty purchases for the month of January! Share with me your beauty hauls, I would love to read them! If you guys are interested in purchasing anything from iHerb, be sure to use my code for a little extra discount! If you spend $40 or more, you'll receive $10 off but if you spend under $40 then you will receive $5 off!
